Replace the Background of Any Photo
Upload a picture and the subject is cut out in seconds — hair, fur and all. Put it on a colour, a gradient, a texture or a photo of your own, or describe a new scene and let AI paint it behind your subject. Export at full resolution, no watermark.
JPG, PNG and WebP · up to 10 MB
- 1
Upload
Drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP. The subject is cut out automatically.
- 2
Pick a background
White for an ID photo, a gradient for a product shot, a texture, your own picture — or a sentence for AI.
- 3
Export
PNG, JPG or WebP at the original resolution. Nothing is uploaded except the picture being cut.
Hair-level edges
The cut-out keeps single hairs and fur. Shift or feather the edge, or brush it by hand.
ID photo colours
One click for the white, blue or red backdrop an ID photo asks for.
Textures and gradients
Twelve drawn textures, ten gradients, and any colour you like — or your own backdrop.
AI scenes
Describe the background you want. The subject stays as it is; only the scene changes.
Shadows
A drop shadow or a ground shadow, so the subject sits in the new scene instead of floating.
Batch
Up to twelve pictures at once, the same background on all of them, exported as a ZIP.
To try, yes: every new visitor gets 100 credits, and signing in with Google refills them to 100 every day. The cut-out (50 credits) and an AI scene (100) run on hosted models and draw on those; everything else — colours, gradients, textures, your own backdrops, shadows, export — is unlimited and runs in your browser.
To the cut-out model once, as a copy no larger than 2048 px, and to the AI model only when you ask for a scene. The full-resolution picture and every edit stay in your browser.
Yes. The edge mask is scaled back up to your picture's size and the subject's pixels are taken from the original, so a 12-megapixel photo exports at 12 megapixels. An AI scene is painted at the model's size and scaled up to your picture's.
The default model handles hair and fur well. For difficult edges use the restore and erase brushes, or nudge the edge in and feather it.
Credits pay for the AI work behind a picture: 100 credits is one AI version, a cut-out is 50, translating a picture is 40 plus 10 per extra language, reading text is 10. Everything that runs in your browser — watermarks, splitting, grids, local erase, editing and export — is free.
Every new visitor gets 100 credits to try. Sign in with Google and you get 100 credits every day, refilled at 00:00 UTC. Paid plans are coming.
